Dear Tom,
Greetings from Nairobi! It was good talking with you a while back.
Our hospital, st. Mary?s, continues to do well. Started just five years ago here in Nairobi, it has quickly grown to become the largest patient volume facility within our country- even more than the national government referral hospital next door! We are seeing around 1,000 to 1,400+ patients per day in clinic, and the hospital?s 320 beds are at full occupancy. So, the dream of affordable, competent health care within a Christian environment has become a reality. We are pretty much maxed out here, and so we?re starting plans to build a satellite hospital over in the Rift Valley area of Kenya. This new site stretches 80 acres from the main road down to the flamingo-covered Lake Elementia. A pretty place, with so much potential. It?s a bit scary, but estimates are that this satellite hospital will have about twice the number of patients as here in Nairobi!!! Just no decent affordable hospital in that half of the country. We are putting in the water borehole now, and construction will begin shortly thereafter. So, your offer of providing surgical instruments will be a great help if possible! Keep us in mind, eh?...
Peace,
Bill Fryda

Dear Dr. Hubbard,
On behalf of the Board of trustees of MedShare International, thank you for helping advance MedShare?s vital mission by your recent generous donation of two boxes of surgical instruments for Father Fryda?s shipment.
The demand for our medical supplies and equipment in developing countries continues to be great and we continue to do our very best to meet it. Over half a million pounds of surplus medical supplies and equipment were processed through our distribution center last year, saving our landfills from unneeded use.
In 2004 over one hundred medical mission teams have taken MedShare supplies with them to work in thirty-two countries. We have also shipped fifty-two 40-foot containers of supplies and equipment to countries in Africa, Central America, Asia, and Eastern Europe.
Last week we shipped one container to Kenya. We appreciate your support of our work and thank you for your partnership in the efforts here at MedShare.
Sincerely,
AB Short

Dear Dr. Hubbard,
Thank you so much for the $5000 worth of instruments for our hospital in Zimbabwe. We are always so excited to have a container coming from Samaritan?s Purse and your contribution makes it even better.
Our two surgeons are constantly dealing with instruments that do not work as well as they ought, so some new instruments are really appreciated.
I will write to you again after the instruments have arrived-which will be in about 6months so that I can tell you more specifically how you have blessed us. Just knowing that someone cares enough to send us supplies is very encouraging let alone the value of the gift itself.
So thank you for the encouragement that your gift brings and also for the benefit to our patients.
In His Service,
Kiersten Hutchinson, PAC
