Obagi Nu Derm:  Medically prescribed products in conjunction with tretinoin therapy (Retin-A or Renova) to restore the natural glow and elasticity of healthy skin. It is usually not used as a first line skin care regimen but rather as a more aggressive approach for patients wanting more than other product lines can offer. The use of Obagi should always be medically supervised. The products combine exfoliating acids, skin bleaching agents and an exclusive ingredient, Complex 272 (Saponins) which enhances the performance of the active ingredients.

La Roche Posay/Biomedic:  Several distinct product lines with each formulated for specific skin types. Effaclar K is a new generation keratolytic skin treatment with 1.5% salicylic acid great for acne prone skin. Rosacea treatments are also available.

Skin Medica:  Products utilizing natural growth factors, antioxidants, proteins, and collagens to restore youthful skin, improve elasticity, and decrease hyperpigmentation. This product line stands well on its own, but is also an exceptional compliment to other skin care regimens that may be more aggressive in terms of exfoliation, but fall short of offering the exciting "plump and fill" properties this line offers.

Skinceuticals:  Topical Vitamin C and Alpha Hydroxy skin care line featuring stabilized L-ascorbic acid at a low pH. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that can protect against and reduce the harmful effects of the sun in both the UVB and UVA bands. Free radicals are formed in the skin from everyday exposure to environmental elements like sunlight, smoke and air pollution. These free radicals can attack the skin's collagen layer, causing it to break down. Studies have shown that topical vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) can promote the formation of new collagen which is important for healthy, younger-looking skin.

Make-up by Jane Iredale:  This may be just the make-up you have been searching for because it offers coverage, protection and convenience all in one product.  Hubbard Plastic Surgery Skin Care Clinic is pleased to offer our patients the Jane Iredale line of cosmetics that cannot be purchased in retail stores.  This make-up combines skin care protection with colors for every complexion.  It is non-comedogenic and incorporates UVA and UVB protection.  The mineral bases offer complete coverage for skin conditions like rosacea, acne, or redness following skin treatments without irritating these delicate skin types.  The top three components of most products that cause irritation to the skin are fragrances, synthetic dyes and preservatives.  None of these are present in the Jane Iredale line.  It is made up of micronized minerals that provide the benefit of four products in one: foundation, powder, concealer, and sunscreen providing weightless coverage with no fillers.  You will find that this is a make-up you can use every day.  One quick application provides unsurpassed coverage that needs minimal touch-ups.  We invite you to schedule a complimentary consultation with our skin care specialist so that she can match your needs and skin tone to just the right product.
