Rejuvenation of All Aspects of Aging:  Aging of the face occurs in three primary ways:  sagging, wrinkling and gaunting.  Some refer to gaunting as "hollowing".  The patient pictured below did not have any interest in neck rejuvenation but had a mini-facelift and laser resurfacing which clearly improved her wrinkles but likely the most rejuvenating procedure was fat injections to add volume to areas of hollowing.  This was done with her own fat and this picture is shown six months after her surgery.  The results of the fat injections are now permanent.  Fat injections do add to the recovery of the facelift but the added correction to the hollowing is for life.  Further hollowing will occur with time but she will always hold onto the fat that she had four months after her procedure.
